Review the Cleaner’s Profile
Profiles are designed to give you helpful information to hire the right cleaner. So take a look through:
-
- Customer Reviews. See what past customers say about a cleaner. Remember that only customers who hired a cleaner can leave a review of the cleaner, making every review a verified review, so you won’t encounter any fake reviews in the KLEENUP INC.
-
-
- The Cleaners Profile. The profile gives the cleaner a chance to tell you about their business — and explain why you should hire them. You’ll see things like pictures of their work, a description of their business and why they love what they do, although information may vary and it is completely up to the cleaners what information they provide.
- Credentials. We know a cleaner’s credentials are important to hiring with confidence. A cleaner’s profile may include:
- A “Top Cleaner” badge, which means they’re highly rated across several reviews from other customers like yourself.
-
-
-
- A license badge, which means that KLEENUP INC has been able to verify whatever business license number the cleaner provided. Be aware that many, if not most, jurisdictions do not require residential cleaners to be licensed.
-
-
-
- A background check badge, which provides information on what kind of background check the cleaner went through and when. Remember that the KLEENUP application is a curated market place, so most cleaners that access to the KLEENUP application are required to be subject to a background check and the background check is regularly redone in accordance with the Terms of Service.
-
It is important to remember, however, that for businesses with multiple workers, this does not guarantee the specific person who cleans your home has passed KLEENUP INC’s background check, so be sure you’re comfortable with the person completing your request (contractually all cleaners on the KLEENUP INC that has multiple workers are required to background check their workers, so feel free to ask the cleaner to provide additional information before the job starts and contact us immediately via email to support@kleenup.com if you learn that the worker does not meet these requirements). HOWEVER, IF YOU FEEL UNSAFE AND/OR FEEL THAT YOUR SITUATION IS AN EMERGENCY, CALL THE POLICE FIRST AND CONTACT US LATER WHEN THE POLICE HAVE RESOLVED THE MATTER TO LET US KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.
Learn More about the Cleaner and Tell Us What you Feel or Experience
Feel free to contact us anytime via email to support@kleenup.com to ask questions about a cleaner and let us know of any concerns you may have. If you have any doubt about a cleaner, do not hesitate to let us know.
Keep Money out of the Conversation with the Cleaner and Don’t Argue with the Cleaner
The KLEENUP application is a curated marketplace designed to remove any friction points between you and the cleaner. Once you engage with the cleaner, a fixed price has already been agreed to, the scope of the cleaning job is set and payment occurs through the KLEENUP application – three facts that should eliminate any issues and risks. In the event that the cleaner argues with you about the scope, let the cleaner finish the job and immediately after the cleaner has left, raise a dispute through the KLEENUP application or by emailing us at disputes@kleenup.com.
If the cleaner indicates that you should pay them anything whatsoever, decline and tell them to reach out to KLEENUP INC directly. If the cleaner insists on demanding payment, ask the cleaner to leave and inform us via email to support@kleenup.com immediately when the cleaner has left. IF THE CLEANER REFUSES TO LEAVE, IF YOU FEEL UNSAFE AND/OR FEEL THAT YOUR SITUATION IS AN EMERGENCY, CALL THE POLICE FIRST AND CONTACT US LATER WHEN THE POLICE HAVE RESOLVED THE MATTER TO LET US KNOW WHAT HAPPENED.
Think Through Your Own Insurance
Remember that the KLEENUP application is a curated market place, so all cleaners that access the KLEENUP application are required to have current and appropriate insurance in accordance with the Terms of Service.
However, any time someone enters your home – whether as a visitor or a worker, something unexpected may happen, so check your insurance policies to make sure you’re covered for liability. Typically such liability insurance is provided within your homeowners policy, but your own insurance provider is always the best resource to learn if your policy covers any risks associated with your home and visitors. If there is an incident where a cleaner or you are hurt while the cleaner is in your home, contact us as soon as possible via email to support@kleenup.com.
